I have fond memories of the candy swap over on the candyisawesome community, so I wanted to try one with my friends. I did this about 5 years ago and it was super fun.
What:
You give me (here on this post, comments are screened):
1) Your name
2) Your address
3) Any allergies you have or food/candy you won't/can't eat
Once you do this I will assign people randomly to each other. You will receive someone's else's name, address, etc and will be responsible for sending that person a small package of sweets by Christmas or at the very latest the end of the year.
Please make sure that you keep the packages small and friendly. What you will be sending is treats! Our theme will be 'Holiday Treats' so please try to make some or all of your candy be holiday themed.
Remember that someone will also be sending treats to you, so try to get yours sent out in a timely fashion and don't drop out!
I will leave this post here until Friday, December 19th. After that sign-ups will be closed. Again please sign up by leaving your name and address, along with any likes/dislikes or allergies as a comment to this post.

Jul. 4th, 2010 10:39 pmI've had a pretty fun 4th of July weekend; I hope everybody had good celebrations too, including those Canadians celebrating Canada Day on the 1st.
I sang in a pretty big production for the 4th, it was a really fun experience!

I'm actually really pleased about it. I'm not really a great baker; though I'm good at cooking baking is my weak point. But this was too neat; I had to give it a go.
I hope you are all doing well; tomorrow I am off to a hot air balloon fest and there will be photographs. /o/

The Mighty Mississippi
May. 19th, 2010 01:33 amFirst glimpses of the Mississippi River today! It's a bit surreal, like something you should be more familiar with but you're reminded you've never seen it in real life before.
Some sunset, too. This golden haze, I didn't do any retouching to this photo at all, just shot it RAW with a Sigma zoom lens.

A riverboat ride is in order, and I can almost hear the paddle-wheel. In the next day or so we are heading down to Hannibal Missouri for said steamboat ride; also it's the birthplace of Mark Twain.

Midwest Scenery

Yesterday we saw some farms in Michigan, and today we saw Lake Michigan.
I love how picturesque the barns are. So calming too, I can't really put it into words but something about them makes you want to gaze with fondness.

Sep. 29th, 2009 11:03 amSo The Killers concert on Saturday was super cool. I didn't take an pictures or anything, so I have nothing to share, but it was really fun to see them perform the songs I like so much.
Also Chels brought her 13 year old niece and 13 year old nephew. . .XD

Also I havn't heard about that basketball coaching job yet for anybody who was wondering. She said she would call me regardless, so I'm hoping to hear today.
The only redeeming feature about my job is my co-workers. We had fun last night, unfortunately most of it involved mocking our job. So yeah, minus the two girls who talk about their sex lives in the office and the guy who puts his bare feet on other people's chairs they are pretty fun people; we all simply lament our job, pfft.
